Waste water from Sea Food Waste Water Industry handling setups can be very high in BOD (bio-chemical oxygen demand), FOG (Fat, oil and grease) & dewatering. Dissolved air flotation and flocculation is the key component of the sea food wastewater treatment plant. Sea food processing plants yield waste water holding a large amount of pollutants which are soluble, colloidal and in particulate forms. dewatering sludge depends on the process. Dissolved Air Flotation is extremely prevalent waste water treatment process usedby a large number of industries such as petrochemical and chemical plants, papermills, refineries, hospitals, etc. This DAF technique is used in order to remove pollutants loads in the waste water before discharging it in the mainstreams. These pollutants can be termed as BOD, COD, fat oils, grease, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, suspended solids, etc. DAF water treatment removes pollutantsby clearing the water by eradicating suspended solids.

For sea food processing waste water treatment, the main treatment procedures are:

·         Equalization- Appropriate equalization of an industrialized effluent can deliver a more persistent and uniform flow to the DAF unit. This can improve the efficiency of the chemical treatment processdone for coagulation and flocculation before DAF.

·         Screening- The elimination of comparatively big solid wastes (approx. 0.8 mm or bigger) can be attained by screening. Screening is one of the economical and modest waste water treatment process utilized in food processing plants.

·         Coagulation and Flocculation- Coagulation, flocculation and flotation are one the most influential tactics to eliminate fats oils and grease, colloidal materials and suspended solids from any food processing wastewater.

·         The pH adjustment

·         Flotation-the Dissolved Air Flotation system in practice uses chemical pre-treatment and micro air bubbles to discrete pollutants from waste water. Pre-treatment of waste water drops TSS (total suspended solids), greases & oil, BOD (bio-chemical oxygen demand), and metal absorptions. More or less DAF clarified waste is re-circulated and super- saturated under high pressure air technique. When this pre-treated water is discharged into the skimming tank under environmental state of affairs, micro bubbles are created and then they bring the suspended solids to the surface for exclusion.
