Unicell

Unicell- Dissolved Air Flotation Clarifier The simple and basic concepts with strong mechanical components provide efficient sludge removal and clarification of heavy and fatty effluents. Unicell dissolved air clarifier was developed at the top of the sixties and therefore the beginning of the seventies. Like most of the products of the corporate, it had been used for clarification mainly within the paper industry. The Unicell design was designed for giant water flows and concrete tank construction. within the early 2000s, the Unicell concept was adapted to small units with chrome steel tanks to be utilized in the food industry for heavy oil and grease removal. The clarified water extraction was simplified (the bottom clarified water recovery pipes disappeared) and therefore the surface scraper was complemented by a paddle wheel to enhance the floated sludge removal capacity. By the center of the last decade, the market demand for giant seawater and water DAF clarifiers increased sig

Minicell

Image
The  Minicell  is the simplest and the smallest DAF clarifier. The  Central driven Clarifier  has a special drive unit that is fitted to the shaft or cage. This cage or shaft can be provided with an overload sensor if required by the client. By means of the shaft or cage, scraper arms with scraper blades are connected to the drive unit. Main Advantages:- Very Competitive price simple operation Excellent Performance with "difficult" and "fragile" sludge quality. - the sludge blanket does not move and the risk of having "sinking flocs" is negligible (the sludge is not pushed to the sludge extraction device as the spiral scoop is traveling around the sludge blanket). Three different tank heights available(choice according to the application) Main applications : Excess biological sludge clarification and thickening before further de-watering (for small installations) (excellent application in case of biological phosphorous removal. This reduce also the polym

Supercell - Dissolved Air Flotation|Krofta Engineering

Image
The "KROFTA" SUPERCELL has a distinct edge over other systems when the sludge or water is recycled to the process and where the type of waste water varies. For Pulp and Paper Industry the small volume and short retention time are extremely important, where the supercell is used as a save-all and in the drinking process. The most up-to-date clarifier based on this principle has been successfully used since 1973 for fibre recovery in paper mills and for a variety of solid / liquid separation processes. Worldwide Installation of more than 3,500 supercells and installation of over 300 units in India alone, speak for the reliance placed by reputed industries and municipalities on the efficiency of Krofta equipment. The Concept of dissolved air floatation for removing solids from liquids was perfected by Dr. Milos Krofta of U.S.A. DAF technology provide the concepts of supercell methods used for wastewater streams in process the property with different various characteristics, th

Sedicell

Image
Sedicell  is a mechanically simple and robust Dissolved Air Floatation clarifier that allows simultaneous removal of floatable and settable solids from suspensions in water for high clarity. Firstly, the raw water enters the central distributor and blends with air released from air carrier water. After this, the air bubbles carry the flocculated solids to the water surface and the Heavier particles settle at the bottom of the tank floor. After the separation of these particles, clear water present between the zones of floated and settled solid particles is subsequently discharged into the overflow of an adjustable weir. Performance HIGH CLARIFICATION and reduction of filterable suspended solids are obtained to meet Pollution Control Authority requirements. SLUDGE CONSISTENCY, maintained by the intermittent operation of the scoop along with adjustments of the tank water level, average 3-6% FLOCCULATING CHEMICALS can be added in several places depending on the effluent. Removals of 80-

Belt Filter Press

Image
Belt filter press type BFP..GR is specially designed to dewater sludge coming from clarification tank. Typically concentration of sludge is 0.5 – 1.0 % DS. The flow is up to 50 m³ / 1 m belt width. The capacity depends very much on the character of sludge and therefore the dimensioning have to ask from the manufacturer. Among the Belt Fillter Press and Gravity Belt Thickener manufacturers, Krofta has always been a market leader for smart designing, user-friendly and optimum space requirement /efficiency ratio equipment. Krofta offers a wide range of Belt Filter Presses to match any plant size, keeping in mind the following key features : BFP series belt press has been designed for dewatering sludge, having 3 -6 % DS. Twin wire Belt Press has been equipped with pneumatic belt tracking and tensioning. BFP Filter Belt Press has separate belt tension system for both belts. BFP Filter Belt Press has continually operating wash water system for both belts. isual control of the sludge during

leather-wastewater

Image
Every leather industry produces a huge quantity of  leather wastewater  which is called tannery wastewater that has an enormous number of pollutants that damage the environment if it is discharged without the right treatment. The tanning processes of the  leather wastewater  are responsible for the discharge of uncontrolled chlorides, sulfates, and other heavy metals that pollutes water. A large quantity of water is used in the tanning process of which 90% of the water is discharged as effluent. There are 4 stages to treat leather wastewater: • -Preliminary Stage (Screening, Grit removal, Oil & Grease Removal0) • Primary Stage (Equalization, Neutralization & Sedimentation) • Secondary Stage (Aerobic Process & Anaerobic Process) • Tertiary Stage (Sand Filters, Carbon Filters, Micro Filters, Ultra Filtration, Retention Ponds, Nano Filtration & Reverse Osmosis). If the leather wastewater is left into the water bodies untreated, the following would be the consequences: •
